Please join us on Sunday November 27, 2022 for the rescheduled Grassroots Gardens Fall 5K, 10K, and 15K running event! The races are being brought to you by iRunWNY and LaSalle Vineyard & Community Garden to raise funds for WNY Grassroots Gardens. All three distances being offered feature beautiful and scenic views of the upper Niagara River. The 15K is an out-and-back course that runs from LaSalle Waterfront Park to Goat Island and Niagara Falls!
VIRTUAL OPTION: We realize with the rescheduled date that there will be a few runners who will not be able to attend in person. Please send me an email and I can switch you to virtual so you can run the course (or wherever you choose) at your convenience and upload your time. I'll save your shirt and medal for you to pick up on Sunday or at a future upcoming race. In fact, any participant who does not show up on Sunday will automatically be switched to virtual after the race.
Grassroots Gardens WNY is a determined group of activists who educate and lead committed neighborhood gardeners. They collaboratively cultivate and manage more than 300,000 square feet (and growing) of green space in Buffalo including the beautiful LaSalle Vineyard Garden located on Buffalo Avenue in Niagara Falls, NY.
START/FINISH
3pm Start Time: All three races will start and finish at LaSalle Waterfront Park using the USATF certified course maps shown below. We will have two water stations setup near the 5K and 10K turnarounds. Restrooms will be available at the Niagara Riverside Resort. We will also place a portable toilet on the course at the 10K turnaround.

REGISTRATION
Online registration will remain open right up until the start of each race or until sold out. All participants who registered by 11/8/22 at 9:00am are guaranteed to receive an official Grassroots Gardens dri-fit running shirt in their desired size. Short sleeve shirts for 5K participants and long sleeve shirts for 10K and 15K participants. We should have plenty of extra shirts for those who registered after 11/8/22 and will distribute them on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will also provide post race food after the race. The first 250 people to register will also receive a custom Grassroots Gardens finisher medal!

If you prefer to mail in your registration, please download both the race waiver and appropriate USATF liability waiver below and mail to the address shown. You must complete and mail BOTH waivers to the address shown on the waiver along with your check payable to iRunWNY. Paper applications must be received by 10-25-22.

Beautiful & Scenic Course Along the Upper Niagara River
IMPORTANT NOTICE!
We will have our packet pickup at LaSalle Waterfront Park from 1:30pm right up until the start of the race at 3pm. The tent that was setup at LaSalle Vineyards was taken down before the snow storm last week, but the tent company has offered to set something up for us at the start/finish line. The restrooms at LaSalle Waterfront Park were closed last weekend for the season and so runners will have to use the restrooms at Niagara Riverside Resort before the race (5 minute walk from the finish line).

POST RACE CELEBRATION
Our post race celebration will take place at the start/finish line located at LaSalle Waterfront Park. We'll be cooking on the grille for your post race enjoyment!

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Hand crafted trophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female finishers in each race. Age group awards will be announced and runners will be presented with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place decals to go on the back of their custom finisher medals. All participants will also have the option of downloading custom finisher certificates from the event page and view/share finish line photos following the race!
14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and older.
PARKING
There is limited parking available at LaSalle Waterfront Park for about 25 vehicles. Runners are also welcome to park at Niagara Riverside Resort where they can use the restrooms inside the main lobby before walking over.

CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, shelter-in-place, limit on social gatherings, permit issues, etc) we want runners to know up front that we reserve the right to reschedule the event date if needed OR convert this to a virtual event. There will be no refunds.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Gun start/chip finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
